I went in for my annual "wellness" check with a couple things that I also wanted to check. They billed this (again) as a different type of visit in their coding and I (again...second year in a row they have done this type of thing) I now owe almost $200. Additively, they sent me for an xray and bloodwork. The bloodwork came back with a note to follow up once my xray came back, which it did two weeks ago. I like how an xray technician can diagnose that I don't have any issues when I clearly have and can be felt a lump. Now they have all of the records and there has not been a single call from the office. My doctor in Reno would have been on the phone immediately about my "high glucose" which is a first for me and my TSH and Cholesterol count to schedule another follow-up and an MRI for my lump. The last time I dealt with Davita they mis-diagnosed a "lump" in my breast and made me come back in only to find out it was xray operator error. Despite THEIR operator error, I had to pay for the second xray and left with a question about was it an error or do I have a problem they had right the first time? I had to work with my organizational liaison at my company to resolve the billing code so that I did not end up owning over $1200 in medical costs from the first issue. I will end up working with her again on this issue. Davita seems to be out to make as much money as they can and avoid having to provide the services that the affordable (joke) health care act provides. Not impressed.
