I purchased a RetractAway screen door about a year ago (15 Jul 2015) from Home Hardware. I spent a great deal of time viewing the video and struggling to install this screen door. I even removed a row of bricks to allow more room for installation. I finally gave up in frustration and disgust and put the door aside. Less than a year later I hired an experienced carpenter. He also spent a lot of time attempting installation without success. His comment was "it's a piece of junk". I took my receipt and the door back to Home Hardware. They tried to contact RetractAway on my behalf for some kind of compensation. Home Hardware informed me there was no recourse as the company went out of business. I really can't afford this kind of loss. Please does anyone have suggestions to try to receive some compensation.
