My son has been looking to join the Army, granted he is overweight and can not until he looses a few pounds. I was searching for statistics regarding joining the Army and found that Virginia 67% are rejected due to one of 3 reasons: 1. not having a High scchool degree, which my son has. 2. Having a criminal record, which my son does not have 3. being overweight which of course my son is. it is sad that even though we need people to serve that the critieria to join is preventing many possibly ideal candidates from joining, some of our brightest historians did not complete high school.
