It was the worst experience I ever had in a hospital.
I went to the hospital (Banner Health)for a torn something in my rib that hurt me to sit, stand or lye down. The Dr told me to lift my shirt and he saw I had a small navel hernia I had for 2 years with no problems so he gravitated towards it and started telling me how bad this is for me, I already seen a DR. on this and he said its fine. This DR was telling me how I can get sick and other things that could harm me or even kill me and that i'm in trouble NOW and I need to address this NOW. Next thing you know he's shoving his finger in my hernia without me knowing and I screamed in pain and asked, What the *** are you doing, he answered, I'm pushing your hernia back in, does it hurt? Then he ordered a bunch of tests to be done and walked out abruptly and a bunch of nurses came in and started a IV on me an a EKG and a X-RAY and a blood test. I asked them what are you doing this for? They said the DR ordered this and you need to relax and let us do our job. I kept saying, no, I do not want you to do this and they said your doing this, The DR ordered this because your in trouble and you need this done NOW. I knew right then this is orchestrated and the DR. was using the good old scare tactic so I just let them do it under duress. Dr. came back and said, oh yeah you need to see a sergeant to get a mesh. When I said I had no insurance to do this, he stood up and walked out in a huff and that was that. Bottom line is, I went in for a simple rib problem and walked out owing over $6.000 in medical testing fee's I never wanted or needed. I went home in pain with no pain meds, guess the DR. was upset his scam didn't work.
