IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU HAVE A RECEIPT

I bought a coat for my son over a month ago next day it ripped I took it back to the store and they said they cannot return it because it is now a damaged item the coat. Even though I had the coat and the receipt they told me to contact corporate and make a complaint I did that and requested the store credit to replace the coat or just exchange the coat it's been 3 weeks and I still haven't heard from anyone
