When I purchased the car from Coast Motor Company 708 17th Street E, Palmetto, FL 34221; https://www.coastmotorco.com Sales: (941) 220-**** I was told by Mr. Tyler “It needs nothing except for a new owner to pop off the Targa roof panel and enjoy her on a nice sunny day.” Well, it turns out that was not a truthful statement! I asked to inspect the car. Tyler said he did not have a lift. Later I find the car had no mufflers, which are required for registration in my state of Maryland, and the front expensive Bilstein shocks was leaking. I said lets go to a restaurant and discuss the car: •The panel lights were too dim to see, no disclosure. •In his advertisement he stated the air condition was “ice cold”. NO, cool is not “ice cold”. I had the compressor and clutch replaced and converted to the mandated refrigerant (had the old refrigerant) - no disclosure. Cost $1,995. •Also driving the car to a friends house for drop off, I ran out of gas 2 times, the fuel gauge did not work. Had to install a fuel pump kit = $322 •So far corrective costs have been $2317. •Have yet to fix the leaking shock. I was very excited to purchase the car but my experience turned out very poorly. I wrote to Mr. Tyler to express my circumstances in hopes he would help remedy the situation – I received a defensive response which was insufficient and inadequate.
