Had the free estimate last night. Got to see their productsd, quality stuff by the way. But came down to the pricing, and was pitched an initial $53,200 @ $1330 over a 12 year loan @17%, for a whopping $191,520, waay over what my house is worth even during the housing bubble. Then the pitch for "locking it in now", for a lower $42,000 price tag, @ $557 over 12 years @9%, or $80,200, which is 1/2 the value of my house. When it was clear I wasn't going to be signing anything, I got the pitch to just do the soffits, gutters, and fascia for nearly $8,000. Then another shot with a much lower $29,000 for the siding after special discounts for advertising, etc, and me doing to old siding removal. Be careful when shopping for exterior remodeling companies. Especially those with predatory lending/unrealistic FREE price quotes.
