Incorrect parts sent multiple times and unacceptable resolutions offered
1
I've had several issues with orders that included receiving damaged parts and several missing parts (e.g., ordered 2 chairs: one chair had two legs with cracks and the other chair was only the seat; no legs or hardware). My main issue has gone unresolved for over two weeks and Overstock chat support has wasted over 3 hours of my time to date. I ordered a King size bed frame (76" wide) with slats that are 73" wide: 3" too short! Opened a case and 4 days went by without an update. Reached out to support and later in the day they notified me that replacement parts could not be sent but they can send a replacement order or full refund and I can return the incorrect order (return labels provided). I opted for the replacement order only to receive the incorrect slats AGAIN. Contacted support and they offered another replacement or I can return both orders for a full refund. Going on 2 weeks without a bed and they want me to wait longer (potentially another week with the risk of receiving the incorrect slats again)? WHAT?!? Completely unacceptable. So, I requested I keep the first order, return the second incorrect order, and be compensated with some sort of refund amount because now I'm being forced to deal with and cleanup their errors. 2 hours of going back and forth amounted to them saying a manager would have to contact me within a business day. That was two days ago. I only now have a bed because I purchased plywood and made my own slats. User's recommendation: Only order items that cannot be easily damaged and does not require assembly (to reduce missing parts or receiving the incorrect parts).
