Illumibowl “Mark” got our money and is gone…poor customer service, horrible product

Update by user Nov 04, 2018 Illumibowl has yet to contact me despite numerous calls and letters. Proof that it was all about the money than customer satisfaction. Left it with the BBB... I've got other things to do in life... Original review posted by user Oct 03, 2018 I originally donated to Illumibowl when it was on Shark Tank. I received two Gen 1 units and they worked fine for a while. I used them with the LED set to blue. I wrote "Mark" and he (or his virtual proxy) replied and replace the units. Again, the blue setting on the LEDs failed after time. I then emailed customer service and they sent me two Gen 2 units along with one Gen 3 (disinfecting model) unit. The two Gen 2 units on the blue LED setting also failed. I emailed and again they too were sent back and another three Gen 2s and one Gen 3 unit were sent in return. One year to the date of the last shipped items, again, all have failed. All nine Gen1 and Gen 2 units combined have failed. At this point, "Mark" has disabled his email address. I got a response from their customer service with a link to follow. I populated the generic prompts and haven't received one word back and it's been about two months. I called on three occasions and left three different voicemails and none of my calls have been returned. I have three units awaiting shipment with all of my emails printed to return to their so-called company waiting for replacements while I am using their Gen 3 units that were sent. I expect them to fail, but I expect them to take a little longer than four months like all the others considering they are the third generation. Sadly, only one of all the units has survived one full cycle of batteries. The others all failed before the batteries went dead. Horrible product. Horrible customer service and yet, another millionaire is made without honoring his product. Is this the "American Way"? Is this why Americans outsource to other countries forcing other Americans to buy from other countries? We overcharge/inflate "American Made" products that lack the quality for the price that they are being sold for, and then we punish our own with customer service that would need about five promotions to make it to the "horrible" level. This should be considered a crime... IJS... If anyone wants to join up for a class action suit, I'm in! Contact me at kawi_dogg@***.com
