I was mistakenly under the impression upper class was upper class

Recently flew Upper Class to London, and when I called to enquire about the private shuttle service for pick ups to and from the airport I was told that I did not qualify for the service because I held a category 'z' Upper Class tickets and only Upper Class category 'y' or 'j' (or something like that) are eligible for private pick ups. I was mistakenly under the impression Upper Class was Upper Class. Clearly not though, which I found misleading.
