I was charged $29.95 for a trial period that was only supposed to cost $1. That’s $29.95, which was UNauthorized, PLUS the $1 I agreed upon for the trial.

When you get a customer service rep on the phone and state, simply, the issue at hand, they then try to tell you that the $29.95 is a "PENDING charge". I told him, "Well, sir, it must be your company's policy to LIE. I am looking at my account online, and that $29.95 HAS already BEEN DEDUCTED from my account." At which point he continues to try to sell me on a subscription which decreases with each pathetic attempt to pitch to me this, obviously, sub-par background check information service. (I was looking myself up, and according to Check People, I have NO criminal history. That's great and all, if it were truth. BUT, it's not. I've been arrested 34 times and, though I'm not proud of it, it WAS LONG AGO and IT IS THE TRUTH. Just saying!) User's recommendation: find a better service. Avoid this company entirely.
