I got a call from one of my customers that she just got off the phone with a tech from Reimage. Her computer locked up during a scan performed by the tech via Logmein and I stopped to learn that she paid for a 3-year service. I found evidence that TDSSKiller was used and found nothing according to the log. In the chat on LogMeIn I saw that a Trojan was apparently discovered (false claim?). I saw no evidence of a log file that showed a trojan was even present. This customer, an elderly person was distraught to say the least. She said she hung up and called me when the tech asked her to get another computer to fix the failed scan that locked up her desktop computer. I later discovered that this company is located in the Isle of Man and most likely not bound by American laws. I she is out her money and I'm probably going to just do this pro bono because I have a moral compass. Stay far away from scrupulous companies like this!
