I couldnt stop meetup emails in groups I no longer belonged to. The emails were very frequent, 3 to 5 a day from two different groups. I could not get them to stop. I had to eventually drop meetup altogether. theres no way to communicate with them or get help from them. be careful what you choose to sign up for as you will be getting emails forever. User's recommendation: Choose groups carefully as you won’t be able to get away from them.
