Update by user Mar 14, 2018 This has not been resolved !!! I have never received the paperwork I originally asked for !!! I am totally disappointed in this whole mess!!! I doubt that anything will be done because people just don't care anymore!!! Original review posted by user Feb 12, 2018 I started visiting a Chiropractor last July. I went twice the end of July and paid a $50.00 deductible. On the second day he approached me and said that he had a plan for me. The Corrective Care Plan that I signed July 28th stated that I was to receive : 20 Chiropractic adjustments at a cost of $1740.00....20 Therapeutic sessions would cost $1500.00 and 2 Progress exams were to be $150.00. Totaling to a regular fee of $3390.00. Minus a Medicare discount of $1940.00 and minus an estimated Medicare Coverage of $640.00. Ending total of which I would pay $810.00. I would get a 10% discount if I paid in full, which I did and it was $729.00. I have 3 insurances but the only insurance card the receptionist took that day was the Medicare card. If I send off the insurance paperwork myself to my third insurance which is VA, I usually can get reimbursed some money. I consistently asked for the paperwork to do this with no luck. They finally took my BC card and BC sent them money also. Now 8 months later I am still trying to get this paperwork from Sylvia, his bookkeeper, to no avail. I finally have received all the EOBs from Medicare and BC and the amounts are not adding up. Instead of sending me the insurance paperwork I requested numerous times. She sent me a BILL which stated that they had charged me a total of $3824.00. Medicare paid him $420.20. BC has paid $874.79. I paid $50.00 for the first 2 visits and the $729.00. Plus the bill she sent me claims that I paid her $860.00, a charge card payment of $50.00 on 7/27, $729.00 on 7/28 and $81.00 on 9/21(this one is a lie, I got a discount of $81.00). Which is fraud to me!!! It shows NO Discounts whatsoever. Adding up these amounts anyone can see that according to his Corrective Care Plan that he was overpaid and owes me some money back. Plus, if they ever send me the correct insurance paperwork I can send off to the VA and possibly get reimbursed for the leftover amount. However, I don't think that they want to send me the money they owe me. I really would like to find a Medical Lawyer that would help me out. I contacted Medicare and Medicare said it doesn't appear that he has committed fraud against them, so, there is nothing that they can do unless I supply them with information that he HAS committed fraud against them.
