I came to Lakewood on the 30th of sept 2019. I was informed that it would be okay to come and reserve a storage unit due to arriving to Lakewood at 5:40pm. The life storage place then decided it was okay to shut doors at 5:40pm. It does list they are open until 6:00pm list as store hours on door. As well as the woman who is the manager is very lazy and extremely rude. Even as I was in today which is the 2nd of October, I asked to upgrade to another bigger unit. She said I would have to repay all the money again. Mind u I already paid for a full month, and have a credit. She insisted she is the store manager, and she knows best. She was very rude. I came in yesterday at 3:30pm which was Oct 1, 2019, the computers were down. So I was asked to return. I originally paid for a 12x20, then went to a 10x15, but I needed the 12x20. So I came back this morning Oct 2, 2019, to go back to the original unit, only to be told I am going to be recharged for the unit. It makes no since her control issues. I need a bigger unit. I don’t see how hard it is to put me back into a larger unit, considering I already prepaid, and have a credit. I feel she was very rude, and didn’t explain anything to me. I feel she is very lazy and extremely unprofessional. It could have been so easy as to take my credit, and just apply everything to be the same as it was originally, but she obviously needs control. At this point I am very dis satisfied, I feel like I have been taken advantage of. I am a single mom trying to make a better life for my child.
