How to verify the wrong email

Hello, iv had a Fitbit account for about a year now and I recently upgraded to a Fitbit versa 2. I was trying to login to my account with my email address, but an error kept popping up saying that that email has already been taking? So I just entered a made up email, and now it telling me to verify that email but I can because its made up. So I tried to change my email option to the original one that I know I have the account with, but the same error keeps popping up, how can I get into my actual account to get my watch properly set up? please help!
