How Does This Happen

On the Best Western Website trying to make a reservation. Put in my credit card information and my card was not accepted. Said to contact the financial institution. Called Credit Card company and they told me they blocked the transaction as possible fraud. The charge was coming from a company called CCI something. THey did not recognize it and out of concern blocked the transaction. Called the hotel directly and they could not tell me w'ho the reservations come through these days.......they could not confirm CCI was a legit reservationist. I let the Credit card company reject the charges......now I have to get new Credit card sent to me......What the HEC. You can't even call a Hotel or go online these days to make a reservation without being routed 'somewhere' else!!! No wonder there is so much fraud these days!!
