HOW ARE THEY ALLOWED TO DO WHAT THEY DO?

Ok, in 3/18 I called for $20.00 for 20 minutes not knowing by saying "yes" to a question that I signed up for a membership. I have had a lot go on over the past few months and really did not go over my credit card statements. I looked at my statement this month and it showed a $40.00 charge. I called my credit card company thinking it was fraud because it did not even say ASKNOW and the number is a fake number. They said the charges go back to 3/18 when I initially called. We three way called ASKNOW and spent 10 minutes on the phone with a very rude operator who said he could do nothing about a refund. I was told to call back in 48 hours and they would have an answer from the "DIRECOTR". Hmm. So I called and was told she was gone for the day. Strange thing was they use caller ID and knew who I was before I even started talking. I was told to call the next day between 10 and 2. I called the director is in a meeting and would contact me. The person who answered the phone was her assistant and argued that a refund would not be possible since I did not cancel in 7 days like I was informed when I agreed to the membership. Well I never signed up for a membership and as you can see I never called again. My credit card company is filing a dispute and I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the state of FL. I am not sure how they are allowed to stay in business with all the complaints they have.
