HotelClub takes card details & does not deliver
HotelClub offered a hotel room as available & requested credit card details which I provided. Their response was an acknowledgement & not a booking confirmation, which I was told would take a further day or so. After one day I sent HotelClub a message about the booking & received no immediate reply. I later made the same booking request directly to the hotel & this was confirmed as available within one hour. As HotelClub were holding my card details for use at their own convenience I had to cancel my booking with them & hope that the direct booking would still be available. It is unacceptable to be locked into a request which may be denied after an arbitrary time interval.
