Hot Water Heaters are defective

1

Update by user Mar 13, 2021 The second hot water heater had the same issue. I ended up calling the company and knew their service would be overwhelming. They quickly remind you that the conversation is being recorded. I really hope they use my numerous phone calls as a training model. I would be on hold for over 30 minutes at a time. I’d hang up and call back. After 3 hours of this poor customer service I realized that they were helpless. Finally I got a technician on the call. This guy tried to be helpful but he turned out to be useless. He gave me a contact number of a company that ended up transferring me back to AO Smith. What a rat race. I contacted Lowes again and they transferred me to Nick in plumbing. He told me I had an electrical issue. Nothing is wrong with our product ma’am, was his comment. I called back to Lowes and spoke with the manager, Jeremy, he said I could return the second product back. He also asked if I’d let him know how the new heater worked for me. Yep, it’s working and have been. Original review posted by user Feb 11, 2021 I purchased a new electric water heater from Lowes. I immediately started having issues with the water being hot. Furthermore, I thought I needed to wait a few hours and then try again. It happened that the reset button had clicked off. I had to call the repair guy back out to trouble shoot. He clicked the button and then the water was hot after several hours. Once I used the hot water the reset button clicked off again and again and again. I called Lowes, and they sent me to AO Smith, AO Smith sent me back to Lowes and the cycle began. After a few days of stressfulness, I had the repair guy to come out and drain it. I took it back to Lowes and that was a nightmare. OMG, in no circumstance should I have returned it for which I purchased it. However, I had to be a KAREN. Then I was able to leave the store with a brand-new AO Smith. It was installed and after two days the issues started again. Clicking the reset button daily. Professional electrician came out to the trouble shoot, and he says it is the hot water heater because everything is hooked up correctly. I went out to look at the reviews and #LOWANDBEHOLD!!! There are so many reviews about the same issue. Meanwhile, I'm out of $365, $80, $80, $25, $20 and pain and suffering. I am betting, they will not allow me to return it and reimburse my funds, so I can go purchase another brand. User's recommendation: Beware and check the reviews before you purchase a big ticket item.
