Hostile Company

After having been with Credo for over two years and no longer having a contract, we decided to change carriers. Our needs had changed and CREDO could NOT meet the new needs. Seemed like a simple enough thing to do. The first two lines ported over fairly uneventfully, the third line took a little more doing and then the last line took over 4 days to port, during which time CREDO was holding the number that we have had over 10 to possibly 15 years hostage. IT WAS AWFUL getting them to release the last line but FINALLY the carrier that we switched to made it happen. I made the last bill payment and then there was a $100 plus dollar credit on the account. Over a month and a half later, I get an email saying I have a bill. BILL, what BILL, I have a credit of over $100 that was NEVER credited back to me, but there is NO WAY there should be a BILL. I call the company and sure enough the poor operator on the other line starts saying I still have an active line. NO I DON'T we only had 4 lines and ALL were ported to the NEW carrier so no active anything. CREDO CLAIMS SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, but that is a lie so long as they continue to PLAY games like holding a phone line/number hostage and claiming the account was not closed. It was and they are a horrid company trying to prey on their previous customers. I was your customer and NOW as of JULY 17th I am NOT. End of story, send my credit.
