Horrible Restoration Times

1

A storm came through early Tuesday morning causing massive power outages. Most of my neighborhood got power back the same day by noon. However, about 90 homes within the neighborhood stayed without power for over 48 hours. We were literally the last ones in the entire Hampton Roads area to get our power restored. Buildings with no one in them got their power back before homes did. Meanwhile, we are a military family with a special needs child and this company really did not care. It was in the middle of summer so it was extremely hot and we had to spend extra money on supplies just to make sure our food didnt spoil. Dominion offered no sort of inconvenience fee or even apology for taking so long to restore our power. They said they had no control on how areas were prioritized. The representative and supervisor really could have cared less about peoples health and inconvenience. User's recommendation: Get a whole house generator. They prioritize businesses, not families.
