Horrible and scary experience

My Tweakbit installation "froze". I had no option but to call their customer service number, which is answered in India. I have had several experiences in the past where customer service in India has been amazing, but this was not one of them. Let me jump ahead just a moment. I ended up calling customer service 3 times over a period of perhaps 20 minutes and got the same person all three times - weird. His "English speaking" name was John. All three times he told me the only way he could figure out what the problem was was to have me give him complete computer control. You must be kidding!! The last time was when I told him I wanted to cancel the purchase. He told me he could do so but I needed to give him complete control of my computer. Double "you must be kidding"!! I'm not a proficient computer user. So, it took me a few minutes to figure out the "uninstall" feature on Windows 10 and I did. I hope I do not have a problem I subsequently found many people to have where the program kept "re-installing". I did call my credit card company and as soon as the charges "go through", in four or five days, they will reverse them, stop future charges from Tweakbit, and deny payment. I found this whole experience not only weird, but mind boggling. Who in their right mind would simply give some stranger "complete control" of their computer? Oh, well...
