Horrible and inhumane

We lost our heat as our heater blue during a nor’easter. They made us wait almost a week for the part to get delivered and then it turned out they ordered the wrong one. We have now spent hours on the phone and my case manager can’t call the purchasing dept to even find out if the new part has been ordered let alone if it could be expedited. At this point we could have paid out of pocket for this and had heat a week ago for all we have spent on hotels. It should be illegal (and may be) to allow a family to go without heat for so long in below freezing temperatures. At this point I can’t imagine having it back for another week. Time for a lawyer to recoup expenses and for loss of my dwelling.
