Horrible Advertising Sales Communication
I own a small business and advertise in the Professional Services Directory of a local Gannett newspaper. Due to market changes, they changed their process for billing advertisers. When I need to add to, or make a change to my advertisement, it is impossible to communicate with them. They do not return phone calls in a timely manner. They do not respond to e-mails in a timely manner. They changed the allowed method of payment without notifying me. One of their staff left a voice mail regarding my account, but provided no details. Then, I could not get in touch with them for 2 weeks. When I finally made contact, they could not remember the call and said they saw no problem with my account. Then, I received an email notifying me that my account was on hold and my ad would be discontinued. Now I cannot reach them with the phone number they provided. If I did not need them, I would not use them! I wish there were an alternative, local newspaper to advertise in!
