Home Advisor, formerly Service Magic, is in the practice of creating phony websites designed to look like a legitimate local service provider (landscpaing, plumbing, etc.), then phishes your contact information so it can be sold to actual contractors! Total fraud! There is no mention of Angi or Home Advisor anywhere on these sites. Beware! User's recommendation: Make sure your "local contractor" actually has a local contact number and address. These people are out here lying.
