I had HI-MACS solid surface counters installed in my home and they cracked in one place and melted in the other. LG said they were installed incorrectly but I had them send me the specs. I checked on the bracing and they were installed correctly. Then they changed their story. The backsplash melted because I used the back burners which they said caused excessive heat. Really!? Then why sell the material for kitchen counters. Using normal pans on normal burners is normal use not excess. They will not honor their warranty and their customer service sucks. They do not care about the customer and only want to try to save themselves a buck or two. I have been working on this problem for months and I am so frustrated I could spit. They offered to pay for the materials if I paid for all the labor. Funny thing is I already have the material they need to fix the cracking so not really a sincere offer.
