I commented on April 27, below. We had Zachary Thomas, as we named him for 2 weeks. He came to us very ill, with kidney disease. Our entire family is devastated, and I will never forget him. I am angry, and sad. Some of the employees, and their practices, are deplorable. Robin, the founder, was named as the person who "hand picked" Zachie for us. He was transported to Washington, after many emails from a volunteer. The transport service, let him out once, during the 24 hour trip?? Sadly, he had urinated on himself, and I was upset about that. I reported it to the volunteer, who was going to look into it. But, more importantly, is that this guy was very ill. Very ill. He never wanted to eat, and you could count every rib on him. The vet said he should have weighed 20 lbs more. 20 lbs!! This place was so unethical...and hostile. Please share this information with anyone who is looking for a dog from them. Make sure they do a thorough health screening.
