Hayward pool pumps are the worst!!! i paid over $600.00 For my pool pump and it burned up after 2yrs 8mo. It had plenty of water running through it and no plumbing problems with the pool pipes or filter it just died with no Warning. No noises just dead. I would not recommend these Pumps to anyone!!!! A pump should last for at least 5 years so buyers beware. I called Hayward to no avail.....the first time I called there was a 45minute wait but u could leave your tel. Number and they would call u back so I did and 20 minutes later they called and said to press 2 to speak with a customer rep. But when I pressed number 2, I was disconnected so I called Again and after 20 minutes I hung up. After reading the above I am glad I did.
