Having problem with my mower

Purchased new,runs for about five mins,pops bangs surges at idle.whilst under warranty dealer charged me &170 for new spark plug and some stuff they put in the fuel.mower was bought new,6/9/2020.help! User's recommendation: Try and find someone who knows what they are doing.
