Have a backup plan

Hi. I’ve like to bring to the company attention that it’s bad for business to allow a option online to book a room and receive confirmation that the room is reserved for you only to find out the next day you can’t have it because you were told by the hotel desk assistant that it’s no longer available due to someone renewed the room. I guess what I can’t understand is if it wasn’t available then why are you able to see it available online and have access to reserve it. It causes a inconvenience in your life because once you receive that confirmation of booking you think your set only to be told otherwise and now you have to look elsewhere. This is really bad for business considering I had relatives visiting here in Texas and recommended this hotel. Now I’m afraid if they come all this way after booking they that they will be told the same thing. This is something corporate needs to look into because this particular hotel missed out on generating more revenue because of this misleading information that you receive when booking at this hotel.
