Harrassed for a Band Cover Charge???

Last night was my first time visiting the Fox and Goose. Our group had eight in it. We arrived for dinner 20 minutes before a band was scheduled to play. Our group went for dinner not the band. It took 20 minutes to have our orders taken. Another 20-25 minutes for the dinner to arrive. Our group was continually harassed to provide a five dollar per person cover for the band. Our group was seated a full 20 minutes before the band began playing. Our group of eight spent nearly $200 dollars for dinner and beverages. After our dinner we were going elsewhere, however, our group was continually harassed for the five dollar per person cover charge. I had to finally, and firmly tell the door person to let us finish our dinner. I feel very frustrated that our group was harassed for the fee. I have never been at the Fox and Goose before. My entire group was made to feel embarrassed, and NOT welcome. Needless to say our evening was cut short, and was NOT what we expected at all. I want satisfaction, as a paying patron. Our group went to the Fox and Goose in good faith to enjoy a nice dining experience, but instead found ourselves being shown the door. With all due respect to the statements provided by the business in question, I expected no less than the response provided. To paint the integrity of what happened with regards to our party in a negative light. I stand by my previous statements with conviction. The facts stand for themselves', the establishments hospitality was sub-par, and the manner by which my paying party was treated, has been seen as "Harassment". The pressure that was brought to bear on my dining party to pay a cover charge for a band we did not know was performing was excessive and it was exactly this pressure that FORCED our decision to leave. In response to their statement: "Tom was not attempting to "continually harass" Mr. Lake's party, he was merely conveying information to Mr. Lake's party and reasonably requesting their party pay the cover or move to another table." Question: Is it the reasonable policy of this establishment to interrupt "paying customers" dinners to move them to another table, which was NOT presented to us as an option? Our intention was not to become embroiled in a "squabble" over a five dollar cover charge. Our intention was to enjoy a dinner at an establishment we had never been to before, and it is likely won't return to.
