GTE IS PETTY AND HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Since GTE Financial is going to be PETTY and delete my comments on their FB profile, I figured it would be best to share where more people will see. My husband and I have been loyal customers for over 10 years. I've posted several positive reviews on their page and have been a LOW maintenance member since day 1. Recently, our debit card was compromised and we were charged a $10.00 replacement fee. My husband commented that he felt this was unfair and I stated that we may be looking for a new credit union. Upon receiving a suggestion from a friend, GTE commented back insulting the other credit union for their monthly checking fee. Here's the kicker...GTE has been charging us a monthly fee even though we meet the minimum requirements they've established for "free" checking. My husband and I both questioned them about this and THEY DELETED OUR COMMENTS OFF OF FB WITHOUT RESPONDING. Not to mention, they deleted my comment about one of their reps telling me I had to come into their bank, deposit $500.00 and then withdraw it in order to close my account. No response, no explanation...they instead chose to silence us. I am curious to know if anyone else has had as negative of an experience with GTE Financial as we have. /rant
