Groupon Denied at Negeen Persian Restaurant, Summit, NJ

My wife and I went to use our Groupon at Negeen Saturday Feb 2nd, 2014. The owner or manager greeted us and validated we have a reservation and we were seated. We were brought menus and water by the hostess (teenager) and when the waiter (another teenager) came we ordered the Kabobs for Two. He went on to tell us, motioning toward the owner/manager, "He wont accept the Groupon if you don't order an appetizer and an entrée because there is no profit in it". At first we went along and stayed with our order, again being reminded we would not be able to use the Groupon. After a small discussion with my wife we decided to cancel our order and leave. The waiter told the owner/manager, and he only scowled at us until we left. The Groupon clearly stated the terms, and there is NO MENTION of the need for an appetizer and entrée required in the order, just the normal usage terms. This is clearly a form of blackmail to shame customers into spending more money than they want. This place should be boycotted for this criminal style of abuse of the Groupon promotion.
