Grooming appointment canceled

I've very disappointment in the grooming service in Sioux Falls, SD. On January 11, 2021 I set up an appointment online as we were never able to get in contact with an associate in the grooming area when attempting to call. This was set up for January 20, 2021 for our dog as a first time customer. I received email and text messages confirmation of this appointment. On January 13, 2021 I received another email indicating an updating had occurred, which contained the name of the groomer that was assigned to our dog. Wondering why we are not able to pick our own groomers as noticed that wasn't an option. But set that a side since this was my first time attempting to find a new groomer. Then on January 16, 2021 rec'd a confirmation text of this appointment. Along with another confirmation text on January 19, 2021. Then it came to the day I was waiting for of finding a new groomer for my dog. Since my prior groom at a different store moved back home so could no longer be our groomer. Then at 7:54am and again at 8:47 I received the following text message. Unfortunately, our appoint had to be cancelled as our groomer was out sick. This indicated that she would be in contact with me upon her return to work on reschedule Scout appointment., which by the way was on 01/20/21. Today is 01/27/21 and I'm still waiting to hear from our groomer. Which I have now just gave up on so had to go find someone else. I'm surprised of the lack of customer services that we have went through and hope that something will be done to change this outcome. I wouldn't want this to occur to other pet parents as it hard to find groomers as everyone is booked up so you have to wait weeks to get in. Thanks Jeanne Wulff" User's recommendation: Dont expect a follow up from the groomer to reschedule your appointment.
