Go with your first instincts!!!!! Ask what Friday

1

We purchased a sofa and a love seat from Tista fine furniture, what a mistake. We were never notified about back orders, when the furniture might be coming or any other problems with it. The person we dealt with was rude and crude, she thought she was above us and we couldn't afford her furniture. We were told we had to pay 70 percent up front, with any other store you never have to pay more than 50. She had a sign out side that said moving sale, when I went back 3 months later it was store closing, so which was it!!!! She was also very obnoxious. After close to 3 months I went into the store to find out what was happening with it, I was told not to talk to loud, the store was very noisy, I had no choice if I wanted the person to hear me. It was also very dark, dirty and dingy in the store. I was told they did not know what was happening to my furniture but would get back to me. I was treated like she did not have time for me and that I was bothering her, but she was more than happy 3 months earlier to make the sale. I waited a week, did not hear anything so I proceded to contact the bbb. A couple of days after contacting the bbb, I finally got some answers from them. It still was not finished and it would be another couple of weeks. I waited the couple of weeks, and phoned again, was told that it was still in North Carolina and they would be shipping it out on Friday. I should of asked what Friday because I waited again. I phoned again this time I was told they were going to ship it out on Monday and it was going to take 2 weeks from NC to TX. I could walk faster than that. The next time I phoned they said it was in Dallas and it was going to talk a week to get to me in Houston. I almost asked if they were going to use horse and buggy that it was going to take that long. After it reached Houston, I was informed that I had to pay the balance in cash, because I called the BBB on the company. Nothing like losing your first amendment rights when you buy furniture. When I called to set up delivery I was told again I had to pay in cash and it was because of the store closing I told the person that was not what I was told orginally. I would not put it pass the person I was dealing with to be so nasty and vindictive. Today when they delivered the furniture they made me inspect it out in the heat. Just my luck there was a problem with one piece. I wish I never set foot in that store and I hope that if anyone else does Buyer beware!!!!!
