In brief, I took an elderly party to Cheddars. It was their first experience. The food was just okay--reminds me of TGI Fridays, which I don't patronize because it's like eating sodium filled plastic. The waiter was great despite the average food quality. After paying the check and sending the elderly party on their way, the elderly part called to tell me they left an item of clothing at the restaurant. Neither I nor the elderly party live in Orlando--over 8 hours away. I contacted the restaurant (i.e., Cheddars on East Colonial in Orlando Florida) and asked if I provided a $100 money order or credit card number would they ship the item to the individual. The manager actually said NO. I could not believe it. Completely disappointed. Chick-fil-a has better corporate social responsibility than Cheddars - a once upon a time "from scratch restaurant". Though the food was average (maybe had a bad day in the kitchen), I was still considering Cheddars as a possible caterer for five 300 guest events this year, when I return to Orlando. I guess I will take my business elsewhere. -Dr. Jaye
