GNC online order

Purchased on GNC website, ordered international shipping, on Jan. 25th. Called customer service on Jan. 29th to find out whether the order went through. The agent said the shipment is waiting to clear custom, and I could check shipping status on DHL. Well, that is interesting because I have informed her that neither a booking confirmation email was sent to me since I placed the order , nor any shipping tracking code was sent. So I asked the agent what the shipment tracking # is, she didn't have it. The agent kept repeating that this is standard procedure, (not to hear from GNC until custom is cleared). Is it a norm one would expect from now on from GNC? IS IT, GNC?
