GH Bass the WORST CS

I don't even know where to begin...This order 4420**** (was shipped out on October 29th to the INCORRECT address. I paid through PayPal (just like I always do) and the recipient's address is part of the account. I selected his address as "shipping address" (just like I have on numerous other occasions with other companies with ZERO issue) while in PayPal. Bass website switched it to MY state of residence (but his address--he lives in Texas--they tried to deliver to "Dripping Springs Virginia"...there is no "Dripping Springs VA) I contacted GH Bass immediately and told them that the correct address was Dripping Springs TEXAS 78620, not Virginia. They refused to help me. Said that it would "eventually be returned to them and then they would refund my money." Then "customer service" rep told me I had to go to FedEx and deal with them. I contacted FedEx, gave them the CORRECT address. Fed EX reported that the package had been turned over to "Smart Post" with USPS and it was in their hands and that THEY (FedEx) would pass on the CORRECT address information. They did NOT. I have been tracking this DAILY, and USPS website has indicated (since Nov 7th) I that it had been 'Rerouted to the correct address.". I breathed a "sigh of relief" and assumed that someone got it right. I checked on Nov 14, and it said that it tried deliver again IN VIRGINIA and was unsuccessful. The level of incompetence is staggering. So--I called Bass "customer service" (and I use that term very loosely) last night. The person I spoke to indicated that, according to the FedEx website, the package was being returned BACK to shipper. DESPITE that I CLEARLY gave the correct ADDRESS to FedEx, also gave my phone number, and they EVEN called me the next day after I spoke to them (on Nov 7) to VERIFY the correct address, here I sit. I have had zero assistance from GH Bass. Chain of custody is that until I (or my intended recipient) get the package--it's GH Bass's responsibility. But, you charged me the minute it was shipped. And now, I was told last night that I have to wait another 3 weeks to get reimbursed, DESPITE that it is very clear that the package is headed back to you. Because this was a gift for a friend, like an idiot, I had to reorder the item because I could not wait another 3 weeks. I placed ANOTHER order last night (254****). Today--when I called to check to see why it wasn't showing any shipping status, the "supervisor" told me that the system sometimes generates "bogus" 7 digit order numbers (they are supposed to be 8 digits long) and that the "authorization" on my card will fall off in 5 to 7 business days. Yeah...that's what he said. OH, and it gets better. He told me I could "PLACE ANOTHER ORDER!" I told HIM that he should be sending ME a free pair of shoes, AND giving me my money back IMMEDIATELY--because what they did was FRAUD. I will never use or buy from GH Bass again and I will make sure that others know how you have treated me. The ONLY reason I did reorder this time was that these shoes are what he wanted. Never again. Your customer service is horrible, uncompassionate, and ridiculous. Worst I have experienced in a very long time. Marsha Ptomey
