Frustration with non-existent customer services.

Update by user Apr 13, 2021 After being ignored by Choice Cottages for so long, and still not knowing if the booking had even been cancelled I contacted the owners of the property direct. They very kindly got in touch with CC (seemingly with no communication problem at all) and requested that they refund the payment.And they did!5* for the owners but zero for Choice Cottages, who still have not explained why they ignored so many attempts by me to resolve the problem. Original review posted by user Feb 23, 2021 Choice Cottages have now completely ignored five emails I have sent them regarding a holiday cancellation request. Their 'Terms and Conditions' state that I will only get a refund if they can re-let the property but as this is an extremely popular property and always booked up well in advance it would have been a near certainty that I would get that refund. However, they now no longer act for the owners and therefore will not re-advertise which means that they cannot adhere to their own terms and conditions that state they will 'take all reasonable steps to re-let the property'. Whether you agree that I should receive some compensation or not, the company's apparent policy of 'ignore them until they go away' should serve as a warning to anyone considering booking a holiday with them. Under the circumstances I could go ahead and take the holiday, which has been paid for in advance (£1,669.50) but I do not even know if they have cancelled the booking or not. They just won't talk to me. User's recommendation: Steer clear of Choice Cottages and find a reputable booking agent.
