Frustrated beyond words

On Nov 27th, I ordered my daughter for Christmas an “in stock and ready to ship in 3-5 days” gaming chair for her bedroom. They never told me it wasn’t in stock but quietly pushed out the delivery date a week at a time. Soon It became obvious that it would never make it for Christmas. The latest delivery date was pushed out to Jan 24thish... then just “back ordered” to now, my order number never existing!!! Never once did PB Teen update me on their own about the status of my order...one CS rep would email me back saying that he understood my frustration but could never tell me when the chair would be delivered. Plus I had to come up with another big gift for my child.... extremely frustrating situation. Bottom line is, I should never have been able to order that chair at all...should have been marked out of stock to begin with. How hard is this concept for a major online retail store? Thousands of disappointed customers with no “make good” offer or solution to our disappointed experience...so upset!!
