*** frame products and inflexible customer service for returning customers

1

Thinking about it? DON'T DO IT! The one-star reviews for their products and service are true. They had my name misspelled for the photos, taking a while for me locate them. When I finally found them, I placed an order for the tassel frame with a print and had to pay an extra $13 for shipping (not including the "shipping surcharge" in the product description). BUYER BEWARE: First, the product descriptions are not accurate. Nowhere in the description did it say that the frames are made with cheap, lightweight plastic, and that the backing of the frame is loose (i.e., it jiggles around). Second, there's no way to properly hang the tassel unless you tape it to the back of the frame. Third, the "Class of 2018" is just printed on a piece of paper. The description might be intentionally vague so they are not liable for any misrepresentation: "Show off your treasured tassel next to a favorite 5x7 graduation moment. This 10x13 molded frame with Plexiglas covering provides a unique way to showcase your vertical photo and memento for years to come. Frame purchase now includes photo, but does not include tassel. This product requires $2 shipping surcharge." So unless that's what you want...I wouldn't recommend it. I would have returned it for a refund, but they require you to pay for shipping to get it back to them. Lose-lose situation for me. I got an email (one of many to come) for a discount code for 80% off my digital downloads which I received during my move after graduating. I added to cart but then forgot about it for a few days until I remembered - but by then the code expired. I called customer service (800-261-****) to speak to a rep to see if they could help honor the expired code for a repeat customer. They said the best they could do (and *only* if I ordered immediately over the phone) was 50% off. I added I would be willing to buy a second digital download purchase as a gift for a classmate if they could honor the discount, but because they are two separate accounts, their offer was: 50% off one purchase and full price for the other. What the---what? I first spoke with a customer service rep, then requested to speak to a supervisor to explain the situation after he couldn't help. She said there weren't any customer service notes on the account about my name being spelled wrong (because your rep just updated it for me over the phone before I spoke to you and even he couldn't find me initially!) and repeated the same 50% off offer, *if* I ordered right away over the phone. I guess they are not interested in returning customers.
