I purchased a 5 lb bag of gold potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner and found several of the potatoes had spots of rot. The odour was horrendous and I had to cut out the rot to use them for dinner. Plastic is a poor packaging for potatoes; any dampness is trapped and the rot is allowed to transfer to other potatoes. These were not the best gold potatoes I have bought and I would certainly not buy this selection again if it was not for the push to make a quick purchase for entertaining!
