We have had five new coils replaced in our Trane HVAC system. We used several different authorized installers. The part was covered but not the labor...which was approximately $1,000.00 each time. We have complete documentation. Apparently something was wrong with the system when five coils had to be replaced but Trane just sent a new part instead of trying to determine the cause of the problem. We foot the labor costs. Within the last two weeks the sixth coil sprung a massive leak after only three months. We have had enough. Trane refuses to delve into determining the root cause of the problem. We asked their customer service to then at least to provide us the cost of a new coil to apply to a new system which they declined. We have within the last few days replaced the entire with a different brand. Trane used to be an industry leader in residential HVAC systems Apparently their product reliability, customer service has taken a serious nose dive. Don't believe me ..go to Consumer Affairs and review the 381 complaints against them ...they have a one star out of five star rating. I am not going to let this go. I will seek legal assistance..Hopefully someone will initiate a class action suite.
