We purchased two power recliners and a power reclining sofa for a total of $7,600.00. We were told by the salesperson, (Izbella) that batteries operated the recliner mechanism. We assumed they were included but were later informed they were not. I asked two things-how many we would need for the sofa and how much the batteries cost. Izabella said she would find out and get back to us the next day. Three days later we still had not heard anything, so we called and asked to speak to her. We were told that she was off the entire week for Christmas. When she finally did contact us she told us we needed two battery packs and the price was $189.00 +tax. We ordered them on 12/31/2019 and were told they would be delivered to the store in 8 weeks. Eight weeks went by and no word, so I called customer service and was informed the batteries had shipped and were at the store. I then called the store to make arrangements to pick up the batteries at which time I was told they only one. The other was lost but they were looking for it. After a week and several more phone calls we spoke with the manager-Kent Haas. He told us the battery was located in the Naples warehouse, and they would deliver it to us the following Tuesday. I said just hang on to both of them and I would pick them up. Tuesday came and went without any word, so I called again and spoke with Kent. He informed me that company (Motioncraft), never sent it-but he was having it sent on a "hot rush" -whatever that means . Meanwhile, I pick up the one battery and connected to the sofa. Come to find out it only requires one battery to operate both sides of the sofa. So I called again and tried to cancel the other one. The office worker said I should speak to Kent, but he was busy ,so he would call me back. He didn't- what a shock! We finally got in touch with him the following Monday and were able to cancel the order and are awaiting credit on our card. Also, I was able to locate and speak to the manufacturer of the batteries and I asked if I could order directly from them. They said sure and the price was $99.00 each. So if anyone reads all this and would like to bypass the middle man the company is RAFFEL Systems. (888) 987-****, www.raffel.com. Save yourself the hassle-shop elsewhere!
