Find a better bank that values customers

My son's girlfriend had an account with PNC Bank. For absolutely no reason, they cancelled her account. There was no letter no email no phone call. When we went into the branch, the employees and branch manager were extremely rude and clueless. When we called customer service, the first girl Allison seemed very sympathetic and tried to get us to someone that could help. The second girl, Kathy, was extremely rude and would not give us answers for anything. She just spoke to us in a very demeaning tone and cut us off with every sentence. The third man was supposed to have been a manager. His name was Nathaniel. He told us that they did mail a letter. The letter was mailed on February 28th, the same day they shut down her account. We asked why the account was closed, and their answer was that they just decided they wanted to stop doing business together. No other explanation than there is no explanation. "We just felt like it." They are holding her money hostage. She's supposed to be getting paid on Friday, but can't because it's too late for her payroll department to issue her a paper check. We have no idea how this issue even came about. Even other banks have never heard of this happening out of the blue. They say if her account was going to be closed, a 14 day notice should have been given. It is Despicable that a bank would do this to a 19 year old college student. She has never had a problem with her account. Can someone explain why? And can someone tell me what we can do to have her compensated for everything she is going through now?
