Faulty xbox one elite controller

Yesterday, I took my sons xbox one elite controller into the Thetford Store as it was drifting. I waiting 30 minutes for the staff to establish if the controller was fixable. On my return to the store I was advised that it was faulty and was only offered a refund of my original cost at £110, as they had no replacements in that store and as I had originally ordered this online I was advised I would have to get back to the online service to obtain the extra £20 difference so I could obtain another controller at a cost of £130 from another store. This morning the Thetford store remarkably have a controller for sale at £130, which makes me feel like I've had £20 stolen from by pocket. Customer Services attitude is that as I've been refunded by the store with the original cost they can't now give me anything further. This is disgusting service and looks like a means of them making money!!!
