Family and Patient’s Concerns handled rudely!!!
1
I was a patient back at the end of 2013, basically a guinea pig for stage 4 renal carcinoma, 2 1/2 month stay, 10 hour surgery, and 13 pints of blood later, I am 5 years out cancer free, and the hospital is making big money doing these renal cancer surgeries since the 5 of us were successful surgeries. My daughter worked the ER for a few years, and my dad is dying with stage 4 bladder cancer. Is already had staff infection, toes amputated, now two nephrostomy bags in his back to drain his kidneys and just discharge a couple of weeks ago from septic shock and has had radiation and doing immunotherapy. Bottom line he did not wanna go to Rio Tower, wanted a private room due to his immunity. I was Joking around about getting him a private room, that my daughter use to work there, and I was told that was the key words “use too”!!! So does employers family get better service that people off the street??? Then had a PCC Sarah come in the room acting like a bad *** saying he was going up to the Rio Tower then walked out leaving the door open and with a loud voice told the nurses station he was going up stairs, like she just took care of things like a bad *** way. No explanation, just told us what we were going to do, no choice!!! I’m a very disappointed with these actions and plan to take my story to corporate and who ever else that will listen to me. Read my medical records and what I went through to help the hospital become better at renal cell cancinona surgeries, then my family gets treated this way. Not happy at all!!! Thank you Shari Bray
