I was behind on my house payment and someone referred me to Keep Your Home California. I could have contacted the lender myself to negotiate the problem. After an initial intake with KYHC, I was told that I was eligible for a conditional grand that will allow me to cut with my payments. During three months, I submitted paperwork for processing. Each month, KYHC asked me for the same documents over and over. During the last phone call, I was told that a decision will be made within 30 days. I waited for that 30-days and that decision in question never came. Three days later after the days, I called KYHC to inquire about the decision, I was told that a letter was mailed to me. The Representative had refused to disclose the final decision. I know it was a lie because all forms of communications or submissions of documents were done electronically. At the end, it was too late for me to get an extension with lender to fight for my house. I ended up homeless with three children. If I didn't put my faith on KYHC, I would have found a mean to save my home.
