Failure power lock motor 2019 dodge caravan

1

passenger side sliding power rear door will not lock. that door won't lock with.either key fob,or the door switch.all other doors lock okay.since this is something i didn't think i needed to check,it got discovered by accident when someone was able to open that door, after i locked it. bad part, its now off warranty.its been diagnosed with a bad actuator motor,a fairly expensive repair, and the the 2 dealers i talked to,said this never happens.this is a 2019 dodge caravan gt.and the first chrysler product i've purchased, couldn't believe a safety issue like this wouldn't be covered.lucky the actuator didn't fail in the locked position, its a much more expensive repair. User's recommendation: check the door locks frquently.
